Youth of the Month

Youth of the Month recognizes hard-working high school students who attain high levels of scholastic achievement, community involvement and leadership.

The Exchange Club of Grayslake recognizes twelve students, one from each high school, six months per year.

The Youth of the Month award winners are automatically considered for our annual Youth of the Year Scholarship. The Youth of the Year award winner advances to Exchange's District competition, and ultimately, an opportunity to vie for the prestigious Exchange Club National Youth of the Year Award. In the 2024-2025 academic year, each Youth of the Month will receive a $200 check and the Youth of the Year will receive a college scholarship.

The Youth of the Year Award winner is automatically advanced to Exchange's District competition for an additional scholarship. Should the student persevere at District, they will move on to the National competition, where they could be awarded an additional $15,000.

A.C.E. Award

A.C.E. stands for Accepting the Challenge of Excellence.

This program recognizes high school students who have made a dramatic change in their attitude and performance during their high school years. These changes have enabled the students to overcome adversities and prepare for graduation.

This is a positive program with two key objectives: it helps encourage students to overcome their hardships and get back on track toward a high school diploma; and it recognizes those students who are often overlooked for their accomplishments. This special recognition serves as a powerful example to all students that hard work and perseverance are rewarded.

ACE AWARD APPLICATIONS available only on the Google Form link provided below.  Both forms MUST be filled out for consideration.
